I’ve been managing care homes since 2015, I started out as a team leader and l progressed into management roles.
What I love about being a care home manager is being in a position to make decisions and changes that give residents the comfortable, happy and secure life they deserve. It’s important to me that we recognise the individuality of each resident and provide them with care that is tailored to their precise needs.
We have a great team here at Southborough Nursing Home, we’re all proud to work here and everyone shares the same commitment to achieving the highest level of care to our residents
Head of House Keeping
I have the important role of keeping our home clean and tidy! It’s vital because not only does it make our home look nice but it’s crucial to the residents health and well-being.
I enjoy being part of our team and helping other people!
Before joining Future Care Group, I worked in the Healthcare sector as an Administrator. What I enjoy about working at Southborough Nursing Home is that every day is different – there is always a new person to get to know, a different family to support, or something new to learn. It keeps me busy, which is great.
Away from work I enjoy painting, doing crafts and watching movies – anything creative really!
As activities coordinator I am responsible for the “happiness quotient” in this home. I love spending time with the residents of Southborough. We do lots of fun activities together everyday. I also organise visits from the local community to keep their social life lively.
My role gives me an opportunity to spend quality time with the residents, hear their stories and give them the emotional support they need. It’s very rewarding!
Head of Catering
I have a passion for cooking and nothing brings me more joy than cooking delicious meals for our residents and their guests. I enjoy speaking with our residents and finding out their likes and dislikes so their diet has individual favourites too!
